Phoenix builds to the 2024 Phoenix Building Construction Code, which adopts the 2024 International Residential, Building, Plumbing, Mechanical, Fuel Gas, and Energy codes plus the 2023 National Electrical Code, with local amendments. The City Council approved it June 18, 2025, by Ordinance G-7397, effective August 1, 2025.
